Ingredients

Snake guard- 1 cut into pieces

Tur dal - 3 tsp,wash and soak it for a hour

Shallots- 10 nos

Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp

Grated coconut - 1/4 cup

Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp

Garlic- 3 cloves

Curry leaves

Red chilies- 2 nos

Green chilies- 2 nos

Salt to taste

Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp

Coconut oil- 3 tsp

Methods for preparation

  1. Add the washed and cut vegetable, shallots and tur dal into clay pot or stone pot.

  2. Add salt and 1/4 cup water and combine well. Cook covered on a low flame for 5 minutes, or until vegetables are cooked perfectly.

  3. Meanwhile coarsely grind coconut, turmeric powder, green chilies, cumin seeds and garlic. Grind it without adding water into a coarse paste. Set aside.

  4. Add ground mixture on top and cover cook for 2-3 minutes in low flame.

  5. Mix the coconut mixture gently

  6. Meanwhile, heat a pan with 3 tsp of coconut oil, fry mustard seeds, cumin seeds and red chilies for a minute

  7. Mix those fry mixture and add curry leaves, off the flame

  8. Enjoy!! Happy cooking and stay healthy.
