Prawn potato kurma

Ingredients

Prawn- 1/2 kg

Potato- 2, peel and cut into small pieces

Green chilies- 4

Tomato- 2

Shallots- 20, cut into small pieces

Grated coconut- 1/4 cup

Red chilies- 4

Cumin- 1/4 tsp

Black pepper- 1/4 tsp

Coriander seeds- 1/2 tsp

Fennel seeds- 1/2 tsp

Cinnamon- 2 small pieces

Cardamon- 2

Cloves-2

Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp

Coconut oil- 5 to 6 tsp

Curry leaves

Salt

Methods for preparation

  1. Wash prawn and soak with ginger garlic paste for 15 minutes.

  2. Take a pan, add grated coconut, coriander seeds, red chilies, 1/4 of shallots, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamon and cloves. Fry till it become brown without oil. keep aside for room temperature. Then add enough water and grind it well to make a fine paste.

  3. Heat a pan with coconut oil, add fine chop shallots, chopped tomato and green chilies string till it becomes golden brown.

  4. Then add soak prawn, salt and potato string well and keep it cook for 10 minutes without adding water.

  5. After that, add fine paste coconut mixture with enough water and cook for 10 minutes with low flame.

  6. Garnish curry leaves and serve it hot with idli, dosa, rice etc

  7. The curry will not be too much thicker.
