Kaara Mutta kuruma

Ingredients

Boiled egg( make small slits)- 6

Onion- 2

Tomato- 3

Green chilly- 2

Chilly powder- 1 tsp

Coriander powder- 1.5 tsp

Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp

Curry leaves

Coriander leaves

Coconut oil

Spices( Cinnamon, cardamon and cloves)- a piece/each

Salt

Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp

Cumin seeds- 1/4 tsp

Methods for preparation

  1. In a mixer jar, add onion, tomato, green chilly and spices, let them grind to fine paste and keep aside.

  2. Heat a pan with 5 or 6 tsp of coconut oil, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, let them allow to splutter.

  3. Then add the grinded fine paste spices, saute it till the raw smell removes.

  4. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder and coriander powder, saute it for a minute.

  5. Add required water, salt and boiled egg, let them cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.

  6. Finally garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves, switch off the flame.

  7. Kuruma should be thicker.

  8. Tasty egg kuruma is ready to taste with chappati, poori and aapam.
